Tom Abraham, AIA brings to elemental over a decade of experience in architecture, design and education. His architectural work includes the design and management of a wide variety of projects, ranging from institutional facilities and commercial interiors to single family and large scale residential projects and object design. With such firms as Croxton Collaborative Architects, SWN Architects and Stephen Yablon Architect, Mr. Abraham’s design work has been profiled in publications such as Metropolis Magazine, Interior Design and Oculus. Additionally, Mr. Abraham’s leadership in sine elemental has been instrumental in the design and development of branding and identity campaigns for such clients as New York City’s first green boutique hotel, financial institutions and online retailers.

Mr. Abraham complements his leadership at elemental with a continuing commitment to education. Mr. Abraham has been a frequent studio critic and attended numerous academic reviews, has taught at The City College of New York School of Architecture and served on the faculty of New York University College of Arts and Science. Additionally, Mr. Abraham has lectured on sustainability and the design profession at Baruch College and The Cooper Union High School Outreach Program.

A two-time award winner in Italy at A.A.R.C. Academy’s ideas design competitions, Mr. Abraham has also held exhibitions of his design work at the Fondazione Vittorio Mazzucconi & La Triennale di Milano, Italy as well as at The Cooper Union. Mr. Abraham was also selected to participate in the Emerging New York Architects mentee program by the New York Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

A graduate of The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, Mr. Abraham is licensed to practice architecture in New York State, holds NCARB Certification and is a LEED Accredited Professional by the US Green Building Council. Mr. Abraham was also trained as a certified Emergency Medical Technician in NJ and has served as a first-responder for five years.
